first with a Lunch

and then with a Fun Day with games music and food and the day ended with Darren and Ros cutting a cake

To celebrate the millennium Christians Together in Paignton
held an Easter Parade through Paignton town centre.

2001
Goodrington entered a new era with the appointment of Darren Holland,
a young probationer minister in his first appointment.

2002
Ecumenical service at St Georges Goodrington
celebrating the Queens Golden Jubilee

2003
Darren was ordained as a Methodist minister at
Colwyn Bay near Llandudno

2004
24 October Darren marries Ros Besford at
Penketh Methodist Church

2005
Walk before a Christmas meal led to start of
Church walking group

2006
The church was set out as a labyrinth as part of
the Pray without ceasing initiative

We celebrated our 40th anniversary with a
Fun Day, Tea Dance and Saturday night social
with a Hog roast
All the known archives of the 40 years were set out in
the church

Among the activities were the creation of
two mosaics
One of a fish with the names of the ministers
from 1966 to 2006 in bubbles

The other was a compilation of hearts which
was actually completed in 2007
